Hello my name is Lawrence Ribeiro and I became fascinated with cars at the ripe age of two. From this my father, who had been a European pro rally car driver (those guys that go all out on dirt and ice roads), coached me in the field of driving and cars. By the age of six, I could tell you most of the specifications on the majority of exotic cars. As I grew older I became more familiar with a wide variety of automobiles from reading magazines, articles and books.
My first full-time job was working for GM affiliate companies. From there I got a job with BMW in sales. After that, I worked on high-end vehicles under a Master Technician who worked for Porsche and Mercedes in Germany. Shortly thereafter I became involved in racing. Now at 38 I’m quite knowledgeable with a wide range of automobile technology, as well as driving, physics and aerodynamic principles.


In addition, I grew up in Canada, which caused me to drive in different types of terrains – mountains, etc. and after all it is Canada, so we had all types of weather conditions – snow, rain and blizzards. I drove each car to the limit in these conditions.
Car Match Pro was created for the purpose of offering a service where a person can get the right vehicle based on his or her needs and wants, while not getting pressured into purchasing a vehicle that they don’t completely love or doesn’t fit their budget. I wanted to give people an opportunity to even the playing field when going to the dealership, so they don’t have to rely on a brother, uncle or father when purchasing an automobile, as some people don’t have this option. The intention is to instill confidence in the car buying process.


It’s important for me to find the vehicle that suits their needs and not what the salesmen says is good for them.  We are unbiased consultants, not pushy salesmen.


Not everyone is an expert in automobiles so it is important to me not to overwhelm shoppers with all the new technologies nor make them feel inadequate. We are here to educate in a streamlined fashion. Even if you’re more educated in this field, you may have different requests that are very specific and we can help you just as well.


As this is a service-oriented industry, I’m concerned with the dealerships and how they welcome you, the client. Also how you are treated - good or bad, so that those dealerships will be recommended or black listed. You don’t have to be pressured into buying something and then being ripped off as well.


Remember, there are plenty of dealerships to choose from - you don’t owe them your business! The truth of the matter is, we don’t want to use any unethical or high-pressured dealerships. After all this is your 2nd biggest investment!
